INDIVIDUAL COUNSELLING
I provide counseling services to adult individuals with a special focus on the LGBTQIA+ population. Depending on your presenting needs we will create a treatment plan that challenges you and promotes personal growth and development.
LGBTQIA+ Issues
Being a part of the LGBTQ population I have a good understanding of the challenges and struggles you face being part of a marginalized community. I will provide a safe, non-judgmental space for us to explore your stress, fear, and anxiety that is keeping you from being your true self and living a fulfilling life as an member of the LGBTQIA+ community.
RELATIONSHIPS
ADDICTION
Relationships provide their own set of challenges whether it is with family, friends, or at work. Together we will explore your challenges in relationships. Implementing boundaries and identifying your attachment style can encourage positive change to your relationships.
ANXIETY
Anxiety is something we all experience. At times it can get "out of control" and create issues that negatively impact our ability to function. Together we will dive deeper into the root of your anxiety find tools that help you better manage your anxiety.
ADOPTEES
Being adopted can create issues in terms of attachment, identity, anger, and rejection. As an adopted child myself, I understand the emotional struggles that can come with being adopted. Sharing your personal experience, we can work together to find how being adopted has impacted your life and explore ways to resolve negative feelings and emotions that might be connected to being an adoptee.
Struggling with addictive behaviors can have a negative impact on your life overall. Together we will seek to understand your addiction and find healthier ways to cope.
STRESS
Stress can impact our physical and mental health. It can cause increased anxiety, depression, mood swings, and substance abuse. Together we will explore coping strategies, look at negative thought patterns, and evaluate life style modifications.
DEPRESSION
Thoughts, feelings, and emotions challenge us all. Sometimes our negative thoughts and feelings take over which can cause depression. Together we will look at your thoughts, feelings, and emotions and work to manage these in a more positive way.
